It is also a little darker than what I’ve previously written, and trying to “get into character” to write some of the scenes has been pretty rough. There are themes with hatred, depression and rage, and those aren’t things that easily come to me. Reading true life stories of people that have been betrayed and abandoned is difficult. Enlightening, but painful.

His knees felt weak, and he wasn’t sure if he would pass out or puke first, but he was sure both were coming. He’d had a couple of panic attacks before, but that last time he’d felt like this, the same players were on the field.
