The common thing I see on the webs is that if I wanted there to be no mistakes, I would hire an editor… and yet, reading BIG NAME authors, I often spot multiple mistakes, especially in first editions. They have a phalanx of editors and others that go through their books with a fine-toothed comb, and there are STILL errors. It happens.

As she finished up the customer in front of him, she hadn’t even looked up at him. She looked up to greet him and recognition immediately flooded her. She was over the counter in a flash, her arms wrapping around his neck. “Oh my goodness, Bill, I didn’t know you were coming. When did you get here?
