Mostly I work toward writing novels, but I won’t pad the word count just to hit a goal. Grafton had four stories that I felt were complete, but each was well short of a novel on its own (obviously since the total is under 129k words). So, I use novellas to complete a collection.

Without opening all of them to look, they are between zero words (the aforementioned story I haven’t started writing) and 50,000 words. I usually use 100k words as a goal. But, how far along a book is in word count doesn’t portend to when it might come out.

I have dropped the prices of all of my print books from $12.99 to $8.99 until the end of the year. As I write this, six of my eight books are available in print (Print on Demand) but I will try to get the covers reformatted for the other two so that all eight books will be on sale at once.

Apparently, though, we are reaching a level of censorship where it doesn’t matter. Someone is offended by an ad for a work of fiction. The ad itself isn’t a deep fake, nor does it glorify sex or violence.
