It isn’t the first time this has happened. A couple of Dixon-Prince characters appeared near the conclusion of Undercover, which is currently out with my Beta Readers (a SERIOUSLY awesome group of people… if you want to be one, let me know). They were just right for the job at hand.

His hand leapt to her throat, cutting off her airway. Again, she could feel herself fading away. As her vision closed in on her and what was left turned gray, she hoped she would never wake up. She wondered what she had done to deserve this fate. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she prayed for an end to the torture.

She downshifted and booted the gas pedal to the floor. The 302 under the hood was one of the smaller V-8s in Chevy’s lineup, but it was an engine built for speed. And the Z-28 launched forward while the engine screamed. She shot past Paul, who was still reacting to Amy hitting the brakes.
